Sweet heat brings an exciting twist to a tuna classic! Starkist Tuna salad with melted cheddar cheese, toasted sourdough bread, and Mike’s Hot Honey.

Ingredients:

  • 1 43 oz. pouch StarKist Chunk Light Tuna
  • ¾ cup Mike’s Hot Honey
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • ⅓ cup dill pickle brine
  • ¾ cup finely chopped pickles
  • ¾ cup finely chopped celery
  • ¾ cup finely chopped red onion
  • 36 slices sourdough bread
  • 36 slices cheddar cheese
  • Butter

Directions:

  • In a large bowl, combine Mike’s Hot Honey, mayonnaise, pickle brine, pickles, celery and red onion. Add tuna and mix well.
  • Top 18 slices of bread with 1 slice of cheese. Spread tuna mixture over cheese slice and top with remaining cheese and bread.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet or cooktop over medium heat. Add tuna melts and cook on medium heat until the cheese is melted and the sourdough is toasted on both sides.
  • Repeat until all the tuna melts are cooked.
