Sweet heat brings an exciting twist to a tuna classic! Starkist Tuna salad with melted cheddar cheese, toasted sourdough bread, and Mike’s Hot Honey.
Ingredients:
- 1 43 oz. pouch StarKist Chunk Light Tuna
- ¾ cup Mike’s Hot Honey
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- ⅓ cup dill pickle brine
- ¾ cup finely chopped pickles
- ¾ cup finely chopped celery
- ¾ cup finely chopped red onion
- 36 slices sourdough bread
- 36 slices cheddar cheese
- Butter
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine Mike’s Hot Honey, mayonnaise, pickle brine, pickles, celery and red onion. Add tuna and mix well.
- Top 18 slices of bread with 1 slice of cheese. Spread tuna mixture over cheese slice and top with remaining cheese and bread.
- Melt butter in a large skillet or cooktop over medium heat. Add tuna melts and cook on medium heat until the cheese is melted and the sourdough is toasted on both sides.
- Repeat until all the tuna melts are cooked.
